Notary Public

A Notary Public is available at Darien Library free of charge during most normal hours of operation. Notaries witness and verify the signing of important documents and administer oaths.

Book by Phone

You will need to bring two forms of ID containing your signature (e.g. valid driver license, passport, credit card), one which must also have your photo.

Please do not sign the documents prior to appearing before the Notary Public.

Rent a Meeting Room

Our meeting rooms can seat groups ranging from 12 to 171 attendees.

These rooms may be rented for a fee per the Meeting Rooms Policy by submitting an application. All rooms include WiFi access, power outlets, a table, and chairs.

Community Room

A large auditorium with rows of chairs that are bolted to the floor. In front of the room is a podium and a pulled down projector screen.

Capacity: 171 seating; standing room capacity 225

The Louise Parker Berry  Community Room with its large motorized screen is perfect for film screenings, lectures, debates, and more! The Room features a piano, a podium, as well as overhead and wall lighting. Theater-style seating is available. It is conveniently located on the First Floor around the corner from our Welcome Desk.

Heron Room

A large table dominates the left side of the image with chairs around the table. At the back of the room is a large built-in screen.

Capacity: 22 conference seating; 45 presentation seating

The Heron Room is ideal for a more intimate group meeting or presentation. The Room features twelve tables that can be configured as one long conference table or rearranged to meet the needs of your group. Additionally, a large sidebar is available for the placement of refreshments or other items. The Conference Room is located on the Mezzanine Level of the Library.

Leroy Room

Capacity: 12

The Leroy Room provides groups of 12 or less with the space they need to have focused, in-depth discussions. Beautifully lit by a window that overlooks the Periodicals Room, this room is sunny throughout the year. The Leroy Room is located on the Mezzanine Level of the Library.
