Transition Your Outdoor Holiday Containers to Last All Winter Long!

The holidays have come and gone, and those beautiful holiday outdoor containers you have--they are still singing "Jingle Bells." What to do? Transition them to a winter wonderland to last all snowy season long!

Darien Library welcomes The Gardener's Center's expert on container gardening, Lauren Flanagan, who will demonstrate just how easy it is to transition your holiday containers into cheerful winter displays.  They will put a smile on your face each and every time you walk by them.

About Lauren Flanagan

Lauren Flanagan currently works as a floral designer and heads the seasonal container design department at The Gardener's Center, right here in Darien. As a fine artist, drawing, painting, crafting from a young age and later obtaining a degree in graphic design, her understanding of color theory and composition along with a love for nature and gardening translated well when she started working in floral design in 2013. She joined The Gardener's Center as a floral designer in 2018, working part time in container design. She became head of the container design department in 2020 and under her supervision, it has grown significantly. Today she enjoys spending her days outside, playing in the dirt, while working with her clients to bring their unique visions to life.
