About the Panelists

Andrea Ruby has over 6 years experience in the Senior Move Management industry.  Recently she launched her own venture, Living Forward, and she delivers a holistic and heartfelt approach to what can be an overwhelming process for her clients in transition.  Andrea and her seasoned team of professionals craft personalized move plans that cater to their clients individual needs. They provide services such as packing, moving, clear-outs, and Andrea's favorite, downsizing! 

Anne McGuire is the founder and owner of Healthcare Pathfinder, LLC a Health and Long Term Care Advice Advocacy and Management firm. For 25 years, Anne has been helping individuals, families, and employees manage their health insurance and making sure they get the care and coverage they need and deserve. She is a Registered Nurse, a Certified Case Manager and has Life and Health insurance licenses (but does not sell insurance). Anne has a broad multi-disciplined background in the healthcare arena including EMS, Intensive Care, Home Care, Managed Care, and Appeals/Negotiation Advocacy. Currently, she serves on the New England board of the Aging Life Care Association and is a member of the Case Management Society of America.  

Deirdre McGovern is a passionate real estate agent in Darien, CT, with her Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation. She loves helping people of all ages find their perfect home in this beachside community with top-notch schools and amazing amenities. With a strong local presence and a track record of success, including serving on the Darien Community Association board and as President of the Darien YWCA Board, Deirdre is committed to her seller and buyer clients and the community.  

Michael LaMagna, LNHA, MPA, J.D., is an attorney and client advocate who concentrates in the areas of Advanced Asset Protection Planning, Trusts and Estates, Elder Law, Probate and Estate Litigation, Guardianships, Health Care Regulatory Matters, and Special Needs Law. He is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, Federal District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also licensed and has practiced as a Nursing Home Administrator in both NY and CT and has managed and consulted in numerous Health Care Facilities, including Hospitals, Hospice and Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Centers, Independent Housing and Ambulatory Surgical Centers. He is former Adjunct Professor at Long Island University, where he also received his Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, teaching both the Legal Aspects in Health Care Administration and Long Term Care Administration classes. Michael also has a post-graduate degree in gerontology.

Mimi Santry, Eldercare Advisor- Certified Senior Advisor and Owner of Assisted Living Locators in Western CT. Mimi and her team work closely with families to identify solutions related to the aging of a loved one. She intimately knows the options in southwestern Connecticut and can efficiently identify communities that are a good fit in terms of budget, location, level of care, culture and other desired amenities. She also works with the top tier homecare providers, should staying at home be preferred by the family. Mimi is Dementia Care Certified.
