Program Description

Event Details

Welcome to Death over Drafts-Connecticut! This community gathering is designed to spark curiosity and foster connections around the topics of death and dying. Join us for an evening of meaningful conversations, delicious craft beer, and a chance to meet members of the Connecticut Death Collective.

Hosted by Death over Drafts Crafter, Kate Bagnati, and fellow Connecticut Death Collective members, this event offers a unique opportunity to blend two passions—craft beer and end-of-life discussions.

6:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Mingling and introductions

6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Playing The Death Deck, a welcomed conversation starter that lets us explore a topic we’re all obsessed with but often afraid to discuss!

7:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Additional mingling and conversation

Everyone is welcome, even if you don’t love beer. This is not a support group, but a place for supportive connections.

Cheers! Come and connect with others while enjoying craft beer from Captain Zig, and be part of this unique community gathering.

All attendees must be 21+.

About the Host

Kate Bagnati is an End of Life Doula. Wife and mother of 3, she is the events and social media coordinator for the Connecticut Death Collective and JumpSTARs. Originally from Geneva, New York, she has been living in Connecticut since 2004. In her spare time she enjoys being in nature, creating art, gardening, birding, swimming, and dancing Bollywood.

Having end of life conversations, providing information and education while we are still alive is her passion. There is a great need to empower fellow humans to make their own choices so they can feel safe and supported in their end of days. Time is fleeting, she’d like to spend the rest of hers making connections, growing community, and holding space for others in great times of transition.
