Finding a job as a college graduate is harder than ever, and students need all the help they can get. Curtis Butler, an experienced mentor and career coach, will lead a discussion with parents on the state of the job market for today’s college students and recent grads. The session is intended to be informational, offering insights into what choices and strategies lead to the best employment outcomes after graduation.

About the Presenter

Curtis Butler, the founder of Guided Ascent Career Coaching, has been a teacher and mentor for decades and has provided individualized coaching to scores of college and graduate students at his Alma maters, Union College and Johns Hopkins University, as well as the children of colleagues and friends.

His passion for helping students and young professionals led Curtis to leverage his experience from a career in finance to help young people navigate their entry into the professional world with confidence. His coaching focuses on the whole person, serving as an experienced guide who helps clients define their path, plan the steps that can lead them there, and apply the job-search strategies that have proven successful over time — regardless of the industry. He has built and led teams and has a keen understanding of what moves a resume to the top of the pile and what it takes to stand out in an interview.
