Visit the world of Grace Farms in New Canaan!
Opened in 2015, Grace Farms is home to nature trails, restored meadows, and a diverse natural habitat that invites exploration and reflection. Additionally, it is the site of the internationally recognized, architecturally significant River building, a meandering glass building designed by the Pritzker-prize winning Japanese firm SANAA. The River building, which is nestled into the landscape, features five separate glass-encased volumes that create stunning 360-degree views as well as diverse opportunities for visitors to experience the spaces.
On the tour you will explore the River, and throughout the property, you’ll find permanent works by renowned artists, including Thomas Demand, Olafur Eliasson, Teresita Fernández, and Beatriz Milhazes. The tour will also include complimentary tea.
Please note: the tour is around 60 - 90 minutes in length, and will be held rain or shine. Comfortable shoes are a must. Due to limited capacity, this program is for Darien residents, those employed full-time in Darien, or non-residents who are contributors to the Darien Library Annual Campaign at the $300 level or above. Non-residents may sign up if there are any spaces available on the day before the program date. Thank you.
