In many cultures, drums have a profound symbolic meaning and represent the soul of the community. Drums are used for celebrating different types of ceremonial events, rituals, and festivals. Children will learn through the beat of the drum in this engaging performance with Ranendra Das.
Ranendra earned his BM in Performance from the University of Bridgeport, studying Western Classical and Indian Classical music with the Tabla as his major instrument. He earned his MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College. He teaches and performs in the New York Tri-State area, nationally and internationally.
Ages 5 and up with a caregiver. No registration required!
