Come aboard the American Job Center Career Coach at Darien Library for an Intro to Microsoft Word class and participate in a fun, two-hour, hands-on session. So sign up and come have a blast at this workshop where we make Microsoft Word super simple in this exciting session. 

What you will learn:

  • Managing the Ribbon: Learning how to control and organize the menu bar at the top of the screen in software. 
  • Navigating the Keyboard: Getting better at moving around on the computer using just the keyboard, not the mouse. 
  • Working with the Ribbon: Learning how to efficiently use the buttons and menus at the top of computer programs to accomplish your tasks effectively. 
  • Discover handy shortcuts you can use to finish up your document faster! 
  • Practical session at the end.

This class is also available for a 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. session.

About the Bus

The American Job Center Career Coach makes weekly visits to cities and towns in coordination with community organizations. When you step aboard the Career Coach, you are greeted by expert staff and seated at one of ten (10) computer workstations. The Coach welcomes all to come in and use the computers for computer training.
