Program Description

Event Details

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, highlighting the pervasive impact of sexual abuse, assault, and harassment across all communities and individuals it affects.

Darien Library, along with The Rowan Center, will present the film, Disfluency, a powerful film about healing. It is also a commentary on how traumatic events are so commonplace in our society that they become no more than a "um" or "whatever" or "sorry". Directed by Anna Baumgarten, Disfluency has garnered significant recognition, winning Best Narrative Feature and Audience Choice Award at several film festivals, including the Austin Film Festival, and receiving positive critical acclaim.
