Celebrate the gardens of the Nutmeg State!
Darien Library welcomes author, Caryn B. Davis, in a visual discussion of her new book, Connecticut Gardens: A Celebration of the State’s Historic, Public and Private Gardens. She will introduce some of our state's most pristine and glorious public and private gardens. She will then discuss their histories and the personal stories surrounding these special spots.
From formal landscapes to simple cottage styles, to horticultural achievements, these gardens have been designed by both professionals and garden enthusiasts, and include such notables as Frederick Law Olmsted, Gertrude Jekyll, and Beatrix Farrand.
Delight in this garden tour of Connecticut's finest!
