Darien Library, along with Darien Nature Center, welcome birding expert and author Frank Gallo who will talk about CT's avian species, and his book, Birding in Connecticut, a guide to where, when, and how to find birds in the state. Frank will be speaking at Darien Nature Center.

Then, join Frank after his talk for an optional 30 minute bird walk and identification at different habitats and locations throughout Cherry Lawn Park.

About the Book

About the Author

Frank Gallo is a leading expert on where to find birds in Connecticut and has led birding expeditions all over the world. Frank is the Senior Naturalist at New Canaan Nature Center, and a tour leader for Sunrise Birding LLC, an international birding tour company. He is a member of the Connecticut Avian Rare Records Committee and is a federally licensed master bird bander. Frank is also the author of two children’s nature books, Bird Calls and Night Sounds, and is a published freelance photographer. Frank’s newest book, Birding in Connecticut, is a guide to where, when, and how to find birds in the state.
