Program Description
Event Details
This class is for beginners who are ready to use a computer but need some help getting started. Mouse and keyboard skills are not required. Students will leave class with foundational skills and confidence to power on a computer, monitor, and use a mouse and keyboard. Guided practice will be provided using the computer search field, File Explorer windows and to open files and popular software applications.

- Ergonomics for keyboard, mouse and chair
- Mouse tutorial practice
- Keyboard tips and proper finger placement
- How to use File Explorer windows
- How to find applications and files using the search field
- Minimize, maximize/restore down and to resize and move windows
Time permitting: Microsoft Word basics will also be included.
