Louise is the library's fearless leader. When she's not reading about libraries, she reads travel books and cookbooks, trying what she reads about whenever she can.

Erica coordinates many of the adult programs in the library and can be seen around town, working with Darien's organizations. She likes to read non-fiction, especially memoirs.

Asha is a full time college student who brings her desketeer talents to the library during breaks.

Laurie is in school full time for a Master's in Library Science. She gets her practical library experience at the front desk.

Vickie is the full time Administrative Assistant at the middle school. She can be spotted on occasional weekends at the front desk.

Alison keeps our books, crunches our numbers and makes sure we pay our bills. She likes to read psychological thrillers, loves dogs and is a crack skeet shooter.

Linda is the Princess of Whimsy. She's a lover of fairy tales, a creative mind who is known to burst into song at any given moment. Linda conducts the Side By Side toddler program and loves to be silly!

Alan reads a lot of naval history and fiction and is always trying to get us to go play softball. Hasn't happened yet, probably never will.

Gretchen is a storyteller and singer who loves to read Kid Lit. She can easily be convinced to read stories to small children any time when in the library and loves conducting lap-sit programs for babies.

Becky Hoover splits her time between Technical Services, processing and adding multimedia, and the Children's Room, where she runs the Bookmania program and lends her creative aptitude to event decorations. She enjoys juvenile and YA sci fi, historical fiction,action/adventure, and everything deemed "gross" by the rest of the staff.

Sally is a huge fan of audio books. The queen of multitasking, she can usually be found knitting, gardening or cooking, all while listening to books. Her reading tastes are eclectic, but she is especially fond of all things Austen.

Erica is starting Library School this fall! She's also a fig addict and notary. Ask her what's new in pop culture.

Sarah is in charge of the teen program. She reads mostly young adult fiction; her favorite characters are girl detectives, funny best friends, and people who prove everybody wrong in the end.

Judy gets our books ordered, uploaded, and ready to go home with you. She likes histories, biographies and good novels. Judy is also an animal lover who likes to garden.

Elizabeth is the elegant mother of 4 children. She reads chapter books and YA fiction and has a knack for marketing. Elizabeth puts her mom and marketing skills to work for the library.

Claire is a library school student interning in the Children's Room.

Gretchen can't start the day without the New York Times. Her favorite authors are Joyce Carol Oates, Wallace Stegner and Stephen L. Carter. Her favorite book ever is Corelli's Mandolin. She has been a Habitat for Humanity Global leader for over a decade.

Blanche is our business and travel expert and a huge fan of UNC basketball and SEC football.

You may know Veronica from her Organized Playgroups in town. She has a M.S. in Early Childhood Education and believes every child is gifted and ready to learn!

Terry is a globetrotter and theater fan. She is a newshound who reads a diverse array of nonfiction and great novels.

After spending several years in the Children's room, Debbie now orders and processes children's books, assists with adult orders, and generally fills-in whenever an extra pair of hands is needed.

Stephanie is a high school student by day, desketeer by night! She is interested in fashion always.

Judy assists library users with computer-related questions, manages the tech center, coordinates adult technology education, and keeps all of our computers up and running. In addition to books on computer software, Judy enjoys novels, historical fiction, biographies, and just about anything with an Irish connection!

Kate takes care of the science books and cookbooks. She likes to read creative nonfiction and murder mysteries.

Priscilla is a tennis maven and part time desketeer. Ask her what she is loving from the book world.

Samarpana is a former Montessori teacher and one of our Early Childhood Specialists. She conducts Giggles & Rhymes and can help anyone navigate our Picture Book collection!

Barbara is one of the voices of the Darien Library podcasts, takes most of our flickr photos, and is an unrepentant blogoholic. She keeps track of our DVD collection, sees lots (and lots) of movies, and plans our annual film series.
